Bets project highlighted at IAC 2011 Cape Town

The BETs project was highlighted at the 62nd edition of the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) at Cape Town from October 3rd to 7th. The BETs coordinator, Prof. Juán Ramón Sanmartín, presented the current achievements in a presentation titled "Propellantless deorbiting of Space Debris by Bare Electrodynamical Tethers" on October 7th during the session: "Space Debris Removal Issues".

In addition, a 2 x 1 m poster about BETs project was displayed at emxys stand at the industrial exhibitors zone, gathering more than 20 expressions of interest about BETs technology and its future application on LEO Satellites End-Of-Life deorbiting.
