Project Preliminary Design Review

Dr. EnricoLorenzini, Professor at the University of Padova, precursor of tether technology development and host of the Project Preliminary Design Review, has gifted the assistants to the meeting, held last June 16th and 17th in Padova, with the book Far off in Space: The life of Giuseppe (Beppi) Colombo, which is a biography of the notorious Italian astronomer.

Beppi Colombo, very well known by its research on resonances in the Solar System, from where we can highlight his contributions to the study of Saturn’s rings and the spin resonance of Mercury, showing that it rotates three times for every two orbits around the sun, participated in several space exploration missions and was as well a precursor on the study of tethers.

Thanks Dr. Lorenzini for such a great gift!!!!

... and for the outstanding organization of the PDR.
